Dorothy Ivy Harbin of St. Paul's who resided in the USA passed away on December 15, 2016 in Brooklyn New York at the age of 94 Years.

 

Viewing and Service: Tuesday December 20th 2016 at Caribbean Funeral Service – Chapel, 1152 Nostrand Avenue, Brooklyn, New York, 11225, Corner of Rutland Road.

 

Viewing 5 PM - 7 PM; 

Service at 7 PM.

Cremation: Wednesday December 21, 2016, The Green-Wood Crematory, Brooklyn,  New York.

Dorothy Ivy Harbin

Dorothy was born was born in Rose Hill, St Paul Grenada. She attended St. Paul's Government School.

She was an excellent home maker and Professional seamstress. Who help sewed Carnival Costumes for many Carnival Band and serval wedding in Grenada. Her home was always a welcome house to all.

In 1975 she migrated to the United Sates. where she worked with Linden Bayne Johnson as a Home Health Aide until she retired.

 

Dorothy was the Daughter of the late Edith and Harry Bourne and the wife of the late Leslie Lennox Harbin. The Mother of Marion Ramsammy, Raymond Robertson, Shane Harbin, John Harbin, Kennard Harbin. The Grand Mother of 20, the Great Grand Mother of 32, the Great Great Grand Mother of 12, the Great Great Great Grand Mother of one.

 

She is survived by her brother Frank Bourne and his wife Kathy Bourne, mother in law of 3 Marva Robertson, Earline Cannon and Anne Marie Primus, several nieces and Nephews to include Jillian Bourne, Denise Tate, Bernard and Winston Stroude. Serval Close friends including Coraline Richards. And a Special thanks to (Penny) Karen Joseph Phillip Great Grand Daughter-in-law Who took care of Dorothy for several years.
