It's an emptiness that never goes away for me around the Christmas season, suddenly you were all gone. No-one can replace a loved one who is gone.

This memory is a lonely lane that I often travel down because it leads me right back to you, but a silent thought, a secret tear, keeps your memory ever so dear.

I now know why you always told me to be strong. It's because you knew that one day I would need the strength to bear your loss. I realized that those you love never go away, they walk beside you every day.
