Matilda Agnes Cuffie née Miller also known as “Sister Cuffie” of Tempe, St. George, passed away peacefully in Toronto, Canada, on July 30, 2022, at the age of 80.
She was predeceased by her husband, Cuthbert Cuffie, and grandson Channin Cuffie. Loving mother of:Wayne Paul Cuffie of the USA, Jean Cuffie of Canada, Andrey (aka Andy) Cuffie of Canada, and Deborah (aka Debbie) Neckles of the USA.
Proud grandmother of:Richard Cuffie, Brendon Cuffie, Tiherra (aka Ria) Cuffie, Shauntel (aka Shonie) Harry, Sabrina Cuffie, Rohan Campbell, Craig Cuffie, Kyle Cuffie, Randy Neckles and Reba Neckles. Cherished great-grandmother of: Denisha Williams, Aniyah Waugh, Marlee Cuffie, BluRy’N Cuffie, Kymani Cuffie, Jeremiah Cuffie and Arianna Campbell.
Mother-in-law of:Celina Cuffie, Ivan Levien, Alana Cuffie and Ralph Neckles; grandmother-in-law of: Veron Waugh and Alishia Cuffie, and much loved sister of: Mildred Roberts of Canada.
She will be greatly missed by many nieces and nephews including:Sharon, Michael, Tony, Kim, Adrian, Ricky, Jean, Matthew, Veronica and Jamaal, many cousins in Trinidad, close friends: Linette George, Carmen Burnett and Clometa Hypolite of Canada, many friends and family in the USA and Tempe, St. George’s, her Oakwood Baptist Church family, and members of the Upper Lucas Street Berean Bible Church in Grenada.
We will always remember Matilda for her kindness, her meek spirit, and her love for sewing.
Family and friends are invited to attend a time of visitation at Giffen-Mack and Trull Funeral Home, 2570 Danforth Avenue, Toronto, on Friday, August 19, 2022, from 10:00 a.m. until 11:00 a.m. then the Celebration of Life service at 11:00 a.m. Interment to follow at Westminster Cemetery, 5830 Bathurst St, North York, ON M2R 1Y6.
