Solomon  Ira Simmons of Paradise, St. Andrews, on November 1, 2015. He was born on April 27, 1937 in Bogles, Carriacou, and was a former Assistant Superintendent of Police in the Royal Grenada Police Force for 38 years.

He was preceded in death by his wife Dorcas Simmons, and sister Annestine Simmons.

He is survived by his children Walter Olando Simmons, Claudette Douglas, Priscilla Simmons, Patrick "Pat" Noel, and Claudia Delves, Grandchildren: Cassandra Singleton, Meagan Simmons, Jeremy Simmons, Lindsey Charles, Steadly Stapleton and Carline Menos- Stapleton, Daughter In Law: Bevon Simmons,Son In Law: Michael Charles

Brother In Laws: Walter Douglas and Rodney Douglas in the USA, Sister In Laws: Blanche Gardner in Canada and  Aldith Murray in Trinidad

Extended Family: Douglas family in Paradise including Daul, Claude also known as Joe, Susan, Judith, Blanche, Kyde also known as "Blackboy", Yvonne "Honey" Kingston. Simmons Family in Bogles, Carriacou - Denise and Elane Simmons, Special Friends: Lennon "Toes" Andrews, Sepy and Moorbrine Taylor.

Funeral service on Wednesday, November 11, 2015 at 2:00PM at the Paradise Seventh Day Adventist Church and Interment at the Grand Bras Cemetery.
