Phillip Anthony Mendes also known as “Mayfirst & Patience” of Hillsborough,  Carriacou - Evangelist of the Carriacou Church of Christ, Former Corporal of the Royal Grenada Police force & past president of the Carriacou Taxi Owner & Drivers Association, passed away on Thursday 25th February 2016 at the age of 72

He was the husband of: Margaret Gloria Mendes, Father of: Felix, Roger, Ian & Merilyn Mendes Cox, Grand father of: Javid, Traylon, Suri, Chasity, Shazney, Arianna & Skylah.

Brother of: Septimus Mendes in Carriacou, Leitha Mendes ,in Grenada & Paul Mendes in the US, Uncle of: Martin Mendes, Beatrice Muriell, Kathyann Moses & Tedgra Mendes.

Other relatives and Friends including: The members of the Carriacou & Grenada branch of Church of Christ, the Mendes, Glude, Stanislaus, Telesford families & Monica Mc Farlane & family.

Funeral Service on Tuesday 8th March, 2016 @ 12:00 Noon at the Hillsborough Church of Christ Church and interment at the Brunswick Cemetery.
